WHO WE ARE
MuniRem® Environmental is a global leader in sustainable environmental remediation technologies, specializing in the safe and effective neutralization and destruction of explosives, chemical warfare agents, and hazardous contaminants. Recognized by both the U.S. EPA and the National Academy of Sciences Engineering and Medicine as a safe and proven alternative to OB/OD, our patented MuniRem® reagent offers a non-thermal, chemical-based solution that neutralizes and destroys both stable and unstable explosives on contact—without emissions or hazardous waste byproducts. Trusted by the U.S. Department of Defense, Fortune 500 companies, and leading civil explosives manufacturers, MuniRem® is used worldwide for critical applications such as demilitarization, equipment and facility decontamination, and the remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. To date, our technology has been applied to destroy hundreds of tons of energetic material globally—achieving measurable gains in safety, environmental performance, and cost-efficiency, all without a single detonation.
