What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When visitors enter information into one of the several contact forms available on the site we collect the data you enter into the form, and also the source IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

When you visit the site, WordPress will automatically place a cookie in your browser that records the fact of your visit and the time. We do not presently use this cookie in any way, though in future it may be used to speed up your access to our site should you revisit. There is also a cookie placed for ShareThis.com which can be used were you to choose to share the content of our site through a third party site such as Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and others. It may be accessed by other sites you visit, thus showing them that you previously visited munirem.com.

Embedded content from other websites

Some articles on this site include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Specifically, the videos on this site are embedded from YouTube. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with other sites, though sites from which we have embedded content, such as YouTube, may store data from your visit.

How long we retain your data

For users that complete a contact form, we store the information provided on the form along with the source IP address until we have responded to your input or, in the case of Spam, erroneous or pointless contact information, chosen to ignore it. We then delete the information. At least once a year, we verify that all databases entries are permanently deleted.

What rights you have over your data

If you have completed a contact form you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor contact form information is checked through an automated spam detection service provided by Google.com

Your contact information

Your contact information is used only for an initial response to the information you requested, question you asked or employment inquiry. It is then deleted from the site database.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

The only automated decision making carried out on user data is the processing of contact forms through a spam detection system operated by Google.com
