Contaminated soils treatment involves mixing MuniRem^® into the soils and adding water to achieve in-situ or ex-situ remediation.

MuniRem-BC is formulated to physically bind and chemically degrade energetics and pesticides to innocuous end products. Metals, including redox sensitive metals are reduced and transformed into the insoluble metal sulfides inhibited from reoxidation and leaching by forming stable complexes with recalcitrant natural black carbon in MuniRem-BC.  MuniRem-BC is highly effective for the remediation of large contaminated soil areas, and for the management of open burn/open detonation (OB/OD), training and testing ranges.
